Some merchants, such as spas/salons, gas stations, and restaurants, can place an authorization hold for higher than the original amount to take into consideration any potential gratuity or needed pre-authorization.

Once the transaction settles within 7 business days, it will reflect the correct amount. If the amount you see on the settled transaction in-app or online doesn’t match the amount on your final payment receipt, reach out to the merchant directly to inquire about the discrepancy.

If the merchant is unable to help, our Customer Care team can review to see if a dispute needs to be opened.

NOTE: Car rental and hotel authorizations can take up to 30 business days to expire. We do not have the ability to expedite this timeline. Should this timeline prove inconvenient, we’d recommend placing the original authorization hold onto a regular credit card and then finalizing the transaction at checkout with your NorthOne Mastercard® Small Business Debit Card.

Our Customer Care team can be reached in-app or online. We cannot help with transaction data by email.
